  12. Hi everybody,
  13.   I just acquired a used 3000 to replace my old and venerable 2000.
  14.   However, I have a LOT of files that I want to bring over to my
  15.   new 3000.  Is there a way I can link the two computers up with
  16.   a serial cable?  I have an extra standard modem cable lying around.
  17.   Would this work?  I've seen numerous warnings about certain pins
  18.   on the Amiga's serial port which are powered.  I don't want to
  19.   short my computers' serial ports!  I would appreciate any help
  20.   in regards to what kind of cable I'd need (a serial cable w/ null
  21.   modem adapter?!?)  and how I can transfer files back and forth
  22.   (term?)  Thank you very much!
